Stipe Miocic defends his crown against devastating knockout artist Francis Ngannou in one of the most highly anticipated title fights of all time. On the verge of history, Miocic seeks to be the first UFC heavyweight champion to successfully defend his title three times in a row. To achieve his goal, he has to turn back the imposing threat of Cameroon’s Ngannou, whose back-to-back demolitions of Andrei Arlovski and Alistair Overeem have fans alread anointing him as MMA’s next great big man. In UFC 220’s second championship matchup, Daniel Cormier defends the UFC light heavyweight title against surging contender Volkan Oezdemir. Eager to continue building his legacy, two-time Olympian Cormier has defeated the likes of Alexander Gustafsson, Anthony Johnson, Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson over the last three years. With his sights set on another stellar victory, he will must first turn back the challenge of Oezdemir. Less than a year after his UFC debut, the Swiss native has made his name in the Octagon with wins over Ovince Saint Preux, Misha Cirkunov and Jimi Manuwa, the latter two victories taking a combined 70 seconds.
