UFC 217: Bisping vs St-Pierre
Saturday, November 4

Canadian legend Georges St-Pierre returns to the Octagon on Saturday, November 4 as he challenges Michael Bisping for the middleweight title in the main event of UFC 217 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. After a career-best year in 2016 in which he sandwiched a pair of victories over superstars Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson around a knockout of Luke Rockhold that earned him the UFC middleweight crown, Michael Bisping will now attempt to add another superstar to his resume when he faces St-Pierre. Perhaps the greatest welterweight in UFC history, GSP will make his first Octagon start since 2013, and after nine successful defenses of that title, he will begin a new chapter in his storiedcareer at 185 pounds. Plus, former teammates turned bitter rivals Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw will finally meet in the Octagon in one of the most highly anticipated bouts of the year. The reigning king at 135 pounds, Garbrandt will put his unbeaten record and the title he won from Dominick Cruz on the line against former champion Dillashaw, who has defeated Raphael Assuncao and John Lineker on his quest to regain the belt. And finally, UFC 217 features a third title fight between two exciting warriors as the self-proclaimed queen of the strawweight division, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, faces The Ultimate Fighter finalist Rose Namajunas. As champion for nearly three years, Poland’s Jedrzejczyk owns five successful title defenses over the likes of Claudia Gadelha, Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Jessica Andrade. With history in her sights, she must first face turn back the challenge of the exciting rising star Namajunas, who carries wins over Michelle Waterson, Tecia Torres and Paige VanZant into her second UFC title opportunity.
